An extended compromise ratio method for fuzzy group multi-attribute decision making with SWOT analysis

چکیده
The technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is a well-known multi-attribute decision making (MADM) method that is used to identify the most attractive alternative solution among a finite set of alternatives based on the simultaneous minimization of the distance from an ideal solution (IS) and the maximization of the distance from the nadir solution (NS). We propose an alternative compromise ratio method (CRM) using an efficient and powerful distance measure for solving the group MADM problems. In the proposed CRM, similar to TOPSIS, the chosen alternative should be simultaneously as close as possible to the IS and as far away as possible from the NS. The conventional MADM problems require well-defined and precise data; however, the values associated with the parameters in the real-world are often imprecise, vague, uncertain or incomplete. Fuzzy sets provide a powerful tool for dealing with the ambiguous data. We capture the decision makers’ (DMs’) judgments with linguistic variables and represent their importance weights with fuzzy sets. The fuzzy group MADM (FGMADM) method proposed in this study improves the usability of the CRM. We integrate the FGMADM method into a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis framework to show the applicability of the proposed method in a solar panel manufacturing firm in Canada. © 2013 Elsevier B.V. Designing a model of intuitionistic fuzzy VIKOR in multi-attribute group decision-making problems
Multiple attributes group decision making (MAGDM) is regarded as the process of determining the best feasible solution by a group of experts or decision makers according to the attributes that represent different effects. In assessing the performance of each alternative with respect to each attribute and the relative importance of the selected attributes, quantitative/qualitative evaluations ar...
متن کاملA Multi-Criteria Analysis Model under an Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Environment with an Application to Production Project Decision Problems
Using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) to solve complicated decisions often includes uncertainty, which could be tackled by utilizing the fuzzy sets theory. Type-2 fuzzy sets consider more uncertainty than type-1 fuzzy sets. These fuzzy sets provide more degrees of freedom to illustrate the uncertainty and fuzziness in real-world production projects. In this paper, a new multi-criteria ana...
متن کاملAn improved similarity measure of generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and its application in multi-attribute group decision making
Generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (GTFNs) have been widely applied in uncertain decision-making problems. The similarity between GTFNs plays an important part in solving such problems, while there are some limitations in existing similarity measure methods. Thus, based on the cosine similarity, a novel similarity measure of GTFNs is developed which is combined with the concepts of geometric...
متن کاملA New Compromise Decision-making Model based on TOPSIS and VIKOR for Solving Multi-objective Large-scale Programming Problems with a Block Angular Structure under Uncertainty
This paper proposes a compromise model, based on a new method, to solve the multi-objective large-scale linear programming (MOLSLP) problems with block angular structure involving fuzzy parameters. The problem involves fuzzy parameters in the objective functions and constraints. In this compromise programming method, two concepts are considered simultaneously. First of them is that the optimal ...
متن کاملTriangular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Triple Bonferroni Harmonic Mean Operators and Application to Multi-attribute Group Decision Making
As an special intuitionistic fuzzy set defined on the real number set, triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number (TIFN) is a fundamental tool for quantifying an ill-known quantity. In order to model the decision maker's overall preference with mandatory requirements, it is necessary to develop some Bonferroni harmonic mean operators for TIFNs which can be used to effectively intergrate the informa...
